Real life. Short-form television.
Your life has
a plot twist.
We turn the stories you can’t stop telling into 90-second episodes. Written like TV. Rooted in what actually happened.
Launching with Haunted. Bring the story that still gives you chills.
The Plotspill promise
Real stories, not invented premises.
Sharper scripts, same dramatic truth.
The real person gets the last word.
01 / The format
Not a reenactment.
An episode.
A TV writer telling your story at a bar: grounded, a little wry, and serious about the stakes. Our writers find the dramatic spine, tighten the timeline, and let the twist land.
90 seconds. Five beats.
Made for vertical screens. Built for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
The cold open
The moment that makes you stop scrolling. No slow introductions.
The setup
Who you are. What was normal. Just enough to feel the stakes.
The escalation
Two or three beats where everything gets worse—or stranger.
The turn
The reveal that changes how you see the whole story.
Back to real life
A real photo, a cameo, or a closing fact. Because this actually happened.
02 / Find your lane
Strange things happen.
Some stories scare you. Some make you laugh. The best ones make you say, “Wait. Really?”
the locks.
Eerie rentals. Unexplained night shifts. The thing you heard when you were sure you were alone. True scares are our opening chapter.
Prepare your haunted storyMore lanes in the concept
Worst date
Romance gone wrong. Sometimes spectacularly.
Petty revenge
Coworkers, roommates, and very personal HOA disputes.
Small-town weird
Local legends. Neighbors nobody can explain.
Plot twist family
DNA tests, buried secrets, and unexpected inheritances.
03 / From life to screen
You bring the story.
We find the episode.
Pitch in 300 words or less. Tell us what happened, choose a genre, and say whether you’d appear on camera. The planned submission process includes a release with option rights—read those terms before agreeing.
The writers’ room looks for the hook. Twist, shootability, and shareability matter. Selection isn’t guaranteed. Selected stories become one-page scripts, with compressed timelines, merged minor characters, and sharper dialogue.
Small shoot. Big story. Creators perform the roles in one or two locations. When an episode releases, the submitter gets a tag or a DM so they can share their story on screen.
Your turn
That story you always tell?
Start there.
We’re preparing our first chapter. Draft your pitch here and copy it to keep. Submissions aren’t open yet; nothing you write here is sent to Plotspill.
